Dr. Johnny Ellison is originally from East Tennessee, but settled in Warner Robins with his family when he was in junior high school. Johnny met his bride Elissa at Warner Robins High School, and they have now been married for 32 years with three children and a son-in-law – Savannah – 29 (Caleb), Andrew- 26, & Sarah Elisabeth – 19. Johnny was saved and baptized at Second Baptist Church Warner Robins, and has pastored churches, mostly in Georgia, including planting Living Hope Baptist in Byron and pastoring 14 years at Green Acres Baptist in Warner Robins. He has served the past 4 ½ years in Alabama. He currently pastors Chatt Valley Church, which is a 14 month old church plant he started in June 2022 on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee Valley. Johnny finished his doctoral work in 2008 at Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, and is the author of five books, including The Perfect Counselor: A Devotional on the Holy Spirit, REBUILD: A Devotional through Nehemiah 1-8; Marriage Lifeline: A Devotional on Biblical Marriage, and What is Your Fish?: Your Deliverance in the Face of Destruction.
